WHY HIGH STREET ESTATE AGENTS ARE BETTER THAN ONLINE ONLY

Another week, another horror story about online-only estate agents. Purple Bricks plans to expand overseas have had to be cut back and Emoov was only recently bought out of receivership. It doesn’t look good for the online-only agents, and there’s good reasons why.

 

Here's why proper high street agents will always be better than the cyber version:

 



1. High street estate agents go the extra mile. 

 

The offer comes in and that’s where the real work begins. The negotiations, the back and forth, fielding query after query, keeping the buyer motivated. It all takes real man hours, many phone conversations, the human touch. An online agent won’t keep on top of this, they have no real incentive to once they have pocketed their fee. And this is where often a sale can fall through.

 

 

2. You don’t lose money with us

 

You don’t make money, then neither do we.  We operate on a no-sell no-free basis, so we are constantly working so that your property sells at the best price. If in the unlikely instance that it does not sell, we will not charge you. So as a seller you are effectively getting a top level of service and all our man hours for free. You will never get that with an online agent where you will almost always have to pay an upfront fee and marketing costs.

 

 

3. The line of communication does not break down

 

Ever been frustrated by endless email chain conversations going round and round and getting nothing sorted? Welcome to the cyber world. Instead, in the real world, we are here to actually fix any problems, at the end of the phone, or happy to talk in person. You can even speak to the same person throughout so you don’t have to keep explaining yourself to a new cyberbot. No call centre circle of hell here. We keep the chain of communication complete.
