South London places we love: Peckham

Posted on April 5th, 2017

Oh Peckham, how do we love you? Let us count the ways…

There’s all the wonderful restaurants and food shops! And the bars and breweries and buzzing nightlife! The library and pool and parks and markets and shops!  And the properties! Family-ready Georgian, Edwardian, and Victorian homes line many streets, alongside new builds and flats galore. It has great transport links from Peckham Rye Station and its proximity to central London makes Peckham’s property prices some of London’s best in terms of value for money.

Where to eat in Peckham

You’re absolutely spoilt for choice in SE15. Our favourites include Miss Tapas and Mr Bao for delightful small plates. Persepolis for amazing Persian food and all the supplies to recreate your meal from scratch at home. Banh Banh for fresh Vietnamese and Cravings La Carreta for South American street food. Peckham Bazaar for inventive and often grilled Balkan delights and Yada’s for copious servings of delicious Kurdish food. Artusi for brilliant Italian and Anderson & Co for great sandwiches. Forza Win for the fun (and food). Ganapati for South Indian treats and the Begging Bowl for some of the best Thai fish cakes in town. Peckham Refreshment Rooms and the Pedlar. And we love the Brick House Bakery and the Blackbird Bakery for fabulous bread and baked goods.
